What type of equipment do I need?
I would suggest creating a map of your home. The majority of home break-ins occur via the front door so that is one area that you will not want to skimp. We suggest using a door sensor to monitor ALL doors that lead to the exterior including doors that lead to a garage zone. We also suggest protecting all ground floor windows with an open/close sensor but this may not be feasible from a cost perspective depending upon the number of windows you have. If you have a large room with a lot of windows you might want to consider a glass break sensor or a motion detector. These two pieces of equipment can work together or alone and will lower your total cost of ownership for rooms with lots of windows.
